Happy Day Club

The Alzheimer’s Day Respite Program, Happy Day Club serves people who are afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease or other related dementia by providing quality supervised care in a very safe, stimulating and respectful environment ~ thus allowing their loved-ones and caregivers much needed renewal and respite!

About Our Program

The Alzheimer’s Day Respite Program, Happy Day Club, provides adult day care to people with Alzheimer's disease or other related dementia. The Happy Day Club provides participants with supervised group and one-to-one activities to promote socialization through light physical exercise, “old-time” music, games, reminiscing, and outdoor activities. The program promotes mental fitness to “exercise the brain” through stimulating brain activities. Another benefit of the program is to provide caregivers with relief and respite from the overwhelming tasks of care giving for someone with Alzheimer's.

Activity programming takes into consideration individual differences in health, ability, interests and skills. All participants are assessed prior to admittance to the program to ensure the program can meet the person’s needs and that the Happy Day Club is the appropriate program for them.

The Alzheimer’s Respite Program is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors, and directed by a Certified Activity Consultant who is assisted by many well-trained and caring volunteers.
